Business Valuation Fundamentals for CPAs
A Five-Part Webinar Series

Program Focus
The competitive nature of today's business climate, combined with the expanding needs of business enterprise, place upon the CPA daunting challenges to provide the best tax, accounting, and advisory services possible--a challenging task to say the least. Today's CPA must wear multiple hats, and even if one's focus is purely tax, accounting, or both, business owners expect their CPA to counsel them on how to improve performance by shaving costs, increasing revenues, and growing company value. Nowadays, it is common knowledge that the most substantial asset in a business owner's portfolio is likely the business itself. And it stands to reason that growing its value translates into a more comfortable retirement. Thus, every CPA should have basic training in the fundamentals of valuing business enterprises. Even if you don't intend to specialize in this area, this training is crucial to being a solid and valued business advisor.

This webinar series does not replace any of the requirements for achieving the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) or Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) credential. It will however enhance preparation for any valuation credential.

What You Will Learn

The "Business Valuation Fundamentals for CPAs" webinar series is designed to teach attendees how to value a business enterprise from the beginning through to the end of the process. Particular emphasis is given to the cornerstones of the analysis process that are analogous to the drivers of company value. With this training, attendees will know right where to look when advising clients on how to go about improving profit margins and growing company value. In addition, attendees will acquire a new consulting service that, when opportunity knocks, they can feel comfortable offering as an advisor. Attendees will gain insight to recognize that valuations are often very complex, warranting the skills of an experienced practitioner.

“The open discussions amongst instructors and participants, the use of real world experiences and the instructors’ interjection of personal experiences into the presentation were very helpful.”
--Keith Crass, CPA, CVA, Crass & Smith, PA – Hot Springs, AR
