Program Focus
Whether you do one valuation a year or 100, if you’re a CPA or a non-CPA working for a CPA firm, come January 1, 2008, you must comply with the new AICPA Statement on Standards for Valuation Services (SSVS). This seminal course --- Working through the BV Standards Maze --- will guide you through the intricacies of the new requirements of SSVS, show how they differentiate from the various other industry standards, illustrate how they could affect you and your practice, and provide guidance on how you can ensure your engagements are in compliance. Given the increasing numbers of AICPA members performing business valuation engagements or some aspect thereof, an understanding of the new business valuation standards will improve consistency and quality of practice among members when performing such assignments.

The National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Registration is on a per-person basis and allows access to one phone line. For an additional fee, others from the same office may attend and listen to the presentation via a conference phone. However, under NASBA rules, where a group attends via a conference phone (where your participation cannot be measured), only one attendee, the primary registrant, may receive NASBA qualified CPE. All other attendees will receive CPE credit, which may qualify for CPE in your state based on its applicable rules, but will certainly be qualified CPE for purposes of recertifying a NACVA credential if you are a credentialed member of the Association. The presentation will include periodic online questions and answers during the session to assess continuous participation and to determine the program's effectiveness.

Pricing
NACVA member: $175; non-member: $195 per person and allows access to one phone line; one CPE attestation form and one evaluation form are included with each site registration. The cost for additional people to listen to the presentation is $55 per NACVA member and $65 per non-member, including one attestation form and one evaluation form.
