Program Content
Traditional valuation procedures cannot properly capture a high-growth company’s flexibility to adapt and revise later decisions in response to unexpected competitive/technological/market developments. The real option technique can value the company’s flexibility to alter its initial operating strategy in order to capitalize on favorable future growth opportunities or to react so as to mitigate losses. Valuations computed using the real option technique are closer to market valuations for high-growth stocks, compared to valuations based on discounted cash flow or industry multiples methodologies. This Webinar will teach participants to use the real option methodology to value high-growth companies.

Learning Objectives
After completing this Webinar course participants will be able to:

  • Articulate the reasons why valuations that are computed using the real option technique are preferred over valuations based on
discounted cash flow or industry multiples methodoloiges
  • List the procedures which make up the real option valuation technique
  • Identify ways that flexibility within a company can be valued by using the real option technique
Who Should Attend
CPAs, CFOs of high-growth companies, investment bankers, venture capital professionals.
